The Pedometer Diet is written by Ms. Julie Gilbert – APD (Accredited Practicing Dietitian), from a concept by Mr. Tim Hayward – Restauranteur and first published in 2005, before the advent of Smartphones and the subsequent development and introduction of Applications (apps), in particular the Pedometer and Stepcounters.
Most Smartphones will have both free and paid Pedometer and Stepcounter “apps” in their respective stores – (Google Play Store & iTunes).
There is no need to purchase a dedicated Pedometer with Smartphone apps and wrist watches that can monitor your activity levels daily.
The concept and the program is very relevant to this day.
